Our Vision
Hope East Village exists to bear witness to the Kingdom of God by seeking the flourishing of the East Village, the Lower East Side, and all of New York City.
Our Values
Because of the good news about what Jesus Christ has accomplished through his death and resurrection, we believe that there are certain values that should come to shape our lives. Our desire is that the values we hold shape both our individual lives and our corporate life together. To this end we value:
01. Living deeply
–
We are committed to living out of the depth of our union and communion with Christ.
05 living generously
–
We are committed to giving of all that we are and all that we have in response to God's abundant grace that has been poured out on us.
02. living neighborly
–
We are committed to joining God in loving and living intentionally for the well-being of our neighbors, both locally and globally.
06. living restfully
–
We are committed to living lives of rest in the midst of a chaotic world.
03. living communally
–
We are committed to being shaped by, and living out, the gospel of Jesus Christ through life in authentic community.
07. living beautifully
–
We are committed to living lives that witness to the beauty of God by creatively generating beauty in our neighborhood.
04. living justly
–
We are committed to doing justice, living justly, and speaking prophetically for the sake of all who are oppressed in our neighborhood.
08. living delightfully
–
We are committed to living lives full of celebration and joy.
